Some people have amazing marketing ideas and know how to generate hype. Daniel Scocco from Daily Blog Tips struck gold by creating a laptop giveaway for reviewing his new free eBook, Make Money Blogging. Before I even get to the review, I just want to point out that dozens if not hundreds of reviews will be written about his eBook generating a long lasting stream of marketing for him. Props!
As a daily reader of Daniel’s blog, I was very excited to hear he published a free eBook. While reading the many awesome blogger/make money online websites, it is easy to become lost, overwhelmed, and/or frustrated trying to find the information you want. This is where Daniel’s eBook comes in and sweeps the reader off their feet. He… Click to continue...
I had planned on writing about something totally different, but sitting at the 30th McDonald’s I’ve been to in the last month, I noticed a few things. After reading the Confessions of a Comment Addict, I realized a little more personal touch might be good for a change. The main reason I end up at McDonald’s so often is that they have free WIFI via AT&T, and I can’t justify spending $4 on a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Another great thing about McDonald’s is that almost all of them have some sort of tube playground. Since I end up toting my 3 year old stepson with me most of the time since I work from home, and he isn’t in preschool yet, having playground to keep him entertained… Click to continue...
I’m not going to lie, I was very skeptical when I first heard about Twitter. For whatever reason, I’ve always tried to stay off the trendy social networking site bandwagon. When I gave into MySpace and the Facebook a couple of years ago, I felt like I was betraying my roots. I was a fool! Did I learn anything? Not really! Twitter comes along and people start buzzing about it; I know it’s not going anywhere, but I refuse to jump on board with everyone else… Here’s why that was such a bad move.
If you’re not familiar with Twitter, give it a quick look. The idea behind Twitter is you get to use 140 characters… Click to continue...

Between Lifehacker which I already gave props to and Makeuseof, I don’t think I’ll ever be at a loss for finding sweet useful new software. I am always looking for some weird new syncing utility or a way to make people pay for stealing my WiFi. If you are constantly trying to keep your computer secure or just like new ways to organize files and optimize your workspace, you’re going to want to find out more about Makeuseof.com.
The first thing you’ll notice when you get to the homepage is how simple it is. There aren’t a million ads jamming up the page or a million options of what to read and… Click to continue...
I’m hooked. Seriously, I can’t stop watching this show. Over the last 10 years, I haven’t watched a whole lot of TV and have never watched an entire season of a show the first night it airs, but the Deadliest Warrior is without a doubt the most addictive show I have ever watched. If you’ve ever had any interest in combat at all, you will find this show very fascinating!
The concept of the show is extremely simple; take two warrior classes at some point in history, compare their weapons and fighting style, and run a simulation to see who wins. Some of the 10 match-ups include: Apache vs. Gladiator, Spartan vs. Ninja, Yakuza vs. Mafia, and William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu.
While getting my daily does of Marketing Education reading Seth Godin’s blog, I was reminded of an article I read right after President Obama took office written by ShafeenCharania, a Microsoft employee with very interesting political and educational views, where he proposed an awesome idea to not only stimulate our economy, but also stimulate profound learning. I absolutely respect both writers and believe that both offer amazing perspective on two completely different things; however, their views on education could not possibly be any more different (although they are also talking about two different levels; Seth is speaking more toward higher level education while Shafeen is more concerned with primary/grade school level education). I believe this drastic difference has a lot to do with the industry each are in… Click to continue...
Being a pro blogger sounds too glorious and good to be true. You mean I get to make money to write about something I’m passionate about everyday? Sign me up! I can make more money writing a blog than I can working the job I got with my degree in Chemistry? Sounds like a dream. Dozens of successful pro bloggers now write daily about how they make six figures a year blogging and tell you that you can do it too. Recently on John Chow’s website about how to make money online, a guest blogger wrote about the tipping point of a successful blog. If you don’t feel like reading it, here is the summary; unless you’re lucky enough to win the lottery, it’s going to take a lot of… Click to continue...
I can’t dance. It’s not a lack of rhythm, but more a lack of fluidity. The first two words that come to mind when watching me dance (which doesn’t really happen) are rigor mortis. And that is why these videos are so hysterically impressive to me. One of these videos is actually the most popular YouTube video of all time with over 124 million views!

The Soulja Boy performed by a class of what looks like 5 year olds. This is just wrong… so so wrong…
