Twitter is a huge social media force now, that is no secret to anyone. In fact, according to Alexa, more than 3% of all internet users visit Twitter daily.
Many people have been on board for years while others (like me) have only been using twitter for a few months now.
People use Twitter for a variety of reasons including socializing, gossip, marketing, researching, and making money.

About a two weeks ago, I was reading ShoutMeLoud.com and came across an article about the Beta for Twitter Lists. I wondered how exactly Twitter decided who to invite and hoped to be included.

In this highly competitive niche on how to blog, few blogs make it past the initial startup, and most don’t gain a strong following for over a year.
When I first saw the name Blogussion, I thought “oh, a pro blogger from Russia.” It turns out my brain processed Blogussian… I felt dumb when I figured out a couple of days later it was Blog Discussion. Now that I’ve confessed that I’m a dolt time to time, we can move on.

Ever since I started using computers, I’ve always been interested in ASCII art. I remember how cool I thought I was as a 10 year old making faces like };^> (the devil). When I found the internet the level of ASCII art stepped it up a few notches. Being able to draw crazy pictures in IRC using macros once again made me feel cool.
I’m more grown up now. I only laugh half the time when people burp or say the word “penis” (haha!). ASCII art no longer strikes me with awe as much as it once did, but there are still actually a couple of fun uses for it.

Since I started blogging, I’ve come across a ton of amazing people and some really cool blogs. Like most bloggers, I have my list of big name blogs I follow like John Chow, Daily Blog Tips, Copyblogger, and Chris Brogan to name a few.
I also have some smaller blogs that either haven’t hit the big time yet or aren’t designed to go mainstream. Website-in-a-Weekend (which is a very misleading name since it is updated daily at a minimum) by Dave Doolin is one of my favorites.

It has been a couple of weeks since I published my article about vNES giving all of us who remember the days a nostalgic kick in the junk. For those of you who missed it, NES had 5 of 10 of the most difficult games of all time.

As I have mentioned before, comments are a huge part of what makes blogs such a unique communication tool. We’ve already discussed some of the reasons why people comment. Copyblogger also wrote about some of the pitfalls of using comments as a traffic building strategy.
One of the biggest keys to both of these articles is that bad commenting can really smear your reputation and make you look bad.
Josh Hanagarne from the WorldsStrongestLibrarian.com also wrote an excellent guest post on Problogger giving statistical evidence that quality
At this point I think it’s safe to say that 99.9% of bloggers who have any interest in making money online currently have or once had Google Adsense on their page. It’s fast and easy to setup, and there are no requirements for getting started.
