I’m hooked. Seriously, I can’t stop watching this show. Over the last 10 years, I haven’t watched a whole lot of TV and have never watched an entire season of a show the first night it airs, but the Deadliest Warrior is without a doubt the most addictive show I have ever watched. If you’ve ever had any interest in combat at all, you will find this show very fascinating!
The concept of the show is extremely simple; take two warrior classes at some point in history, compare their weapons and fighting style, and run a simulation to see who wins. Some of the 10 match-ups include: Apache vs. Gladiator, Spartan vs. Ninja, Yakuza vs. Mafia, and William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu.
They take 4 or 5 of the main weapons/tools each warrior uses and runs scientific tests on each weapon to determine how deadly the weapon really is. They hook up sensors to measure the magnitude of force blunt weapons hit with. They have targets to measure the accuracy and damage projectile weapons shoot with. For swords and axes they make humanesque (another new word) gelatin molds for weapon demonstrators to mutilate. Doctors examine the damage to the various test dummies to determine the deadliness of each wound. Some of the weapons tested include: dozens of swords, flame throwers, Ak47s, the spartan shield, and several spears.
I have to give it to Spike TV. Every Tuesday at 10 PM they will have my time as long as they are showing The Deadliest Warrior. Check out all 10 episodes of season one for free and let me know what you think. Who is your favorite deadly warrior?

Amazing show. I would like to point out that the narration is done by David Wenham, who was in 300 aside King Leonidas (eye patch guy with a silver tongue). Also, Props to Alienware laptops making an appearance in the show! Woot!

This show is AWESOME. I love it. But ninjas shouldn’t be on there (as much as I love them so). They’re assassins, not warriors. And they should have won, btw. lol
Thanks for the props to my favorite show!

Ry – Glad you finally made it to my page ;-) One of the scientist from the show actually retweeted this article. Very exciting to know that he appreciated the props!
GunnaBthe1 – There is a link at the bottom of the page to all 10 episodes.
VeggieMoon – Yeah, I was kind of bummed out that they lost too. I actually was more shocked that the Green Berets lost more than anything though.
