Digital TV for PC 2 Product Review

Blake WaddillReviews

While looking through a few of my affiliate networks for offers to promote, I kept running across one offer that I kept dying to try.  I finally bit the bullet and bought Digital TV for PC 2 (affiliate link).  Promises of 2000 channels including ESPN, CNN, Speed, Comedy Central, HBO, etc.. for only $29 (one time charge) seemed too good to be true.

I absolutely love Digital TV for PC for watching old episodes of nearly any show you can think of.  I got to watch the entire Season 3 of “Next Design Star” (I’m married, and I like decking out our house, don’t judge me!) and Southpark.

You’ll be able to find Seasons of shows like House, The Office, Desperate Housewives, and all your other favorite shows.  They also provide easy access to a variety of movies available On Demand online.

My only major complaint is live TV.  I’ve had a difficult time finding many live TV channels that weren’t “Off-Air.”  Disney, HBO, and Cartoon Network all seemed to work okay, but I couldn’t get anything for ESPN, CNN, History, or Speed.

My only minor annoyance is the video size.  You have the choice of YouTube size viewing area or full screen.  The full screen can get a little choppy at times, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.

There are also a couple of additional addons you can purchase for more channels and OnDemand.  I did not take those offers, so I don’t know if that will help my experience.

Overall, Digital TV for PC is (update: NOT) a good product for $29.  I would not recommend buying it if you’re only interested in watching the latest live TV; however, if you just watch to watch your favorite shows at anytime, the OnDemand database is an excellent resource and absolutely worth every penny.

Digital TV for PC 2 Review UPDATE:

Since I originally wrote this article, Hulu has dramatically expanded the number of shows available online.  At this point, Digital TV for PC 2 is a rip-off, scam, and totally bogus.  Hulu offers most of the same content for free.  Hulu does offer a paid version called Hulu Plus.  Hulu Plus offers a few more shows; however, the best feature of Hulu Plus is being able to access Hulu from a mobile device (iphone, ipad, and most android).  At $8/month, Hulu has replaced cable/direct TV for me.  Grab a FREE Hulu Plus! 1-week Trial and to see if it’s right for you.  It was for me!

Disclaimer: I am an affiliate for Digital TV for PC and Hulu Plus! and will receive a small cut of the commission if you buy the product using my link.  I have done my best to give the most unbiased review possible of this product to help you make an educated purchasing decision.  I do actually have a subscription to Hulu Plus! and use it daily.
